Thank you to Lisa Jagger from Straight Forward Funding for delivering a fantastic Creative Fundraising session to ten schools in Barnsley. The interactive online session covered:
- Advice on applying for additional funding to support embedding the arts into the school’s curriculum.
- Where to find out about funding opportunities.
- What information to prioritise and include in funding bids.
- A list of funders to consider.
- Preparing the first draft of an application form, which they now have the opportunity to use (should they wish to apply for that particular funding).

Participants were also provided with a digital resource pack to take away from the session.
At the end of the training session:
- 100% of participants felt that they had increased awareness of potential grant funding applications
- 100% of participants understood how to align a grant application with a funders priorities
- 100% of participants understood how to plan and prepare to simplify the grant application process
- 100% of participants felt that session was pitched at the right level for them
