This summer, the Dearne Young Creative Producers are hosting ‘Game On Barnsley’, exciting gaming events designed by young people, for young people. This project is a result of the Dearne Young Creative Producers being successful in their pitch at the Ambition Arena event held in back February this year, funded by the council’s Great Childhood Ambition. 

Since then, the group have been working hard behind the scenes, supported by FUSION and Adaptive Gaming CIC, to bring their project to life this summer.

Sessions will be taking place at the Pit at Dearne Playhouse and the Digital Media Centre, County Way in Barnsley Town Centre, and are broken into 6-12 years and 13-18 years age groups. Expect the latest games, retro games, esports and more including the chance to learn from professionals how to create content for streaming and vlogs!
